Job Description

We are now recruiting for a boutique fitness studio in London's new Kings Cross. Hailed as one of London's top fitness classes by the likes of GQ, Harper's Bazar and Forbes.

Having recently reopened they are looking for new colleagues to join as a Front of House associate.

What you’ll be doing:

Opening up the studio and getting it prepared for morning classes, you’ll put out the relevant equipment upstairs and set the scene downstairs with music, scented diffusers and plumped cushions. Full checklist will be provided.

Welcoming clients into the studio, checking them into classes and taking their coffee orders for after. We ask everyone to take special care making sure new clients feel welcome, fitness environments can be intimidating so you’ll do everything you can to make them feel safe and supported.

Cleaning and resetting, in-between classes you’ll need to wizz round the lounge and changing room, tidying up water bottles/towels/magazines/etc.

Bathrooms and kitchen, these high traffic areas need constant cleaning and maintenance throughout a busy shift.

Folding towels and refreshing supplies.

Making coffees and shakes while keeping onto top of fridge/food safety logs.

Packs and memberships, there is an element of face to face sales and up-selling and you’ll be given full training.

To close the studio you’ll be running through a full cleaning checklist, resetting the space for the morning.

Do you need to be into fitness:

Not at all, but you will have to hold an appreciation for the importance fitness plays in some people's lives, both physically and emotionally. We would ask that you try all our classes at least once in order to explain the concept to others.

Benefits of working with us:

Free fitness classes

20% Discount in our wellness shop

Free coffees/teas/shakes when working

Free co-working desk throughout the week

Personal Specification

Who we're looking for:

Someone with previous experience of working a service job, such as retail or hospitality, preferably somewhere that also required an element of sales and client relationships.

There is a cleaning and presentation element to this job so you’ll need a keen eye for the little details that make a space stand out.

Someone who can commit to a minimum of 10 hrs per week (being up for the odd cover shift is a huge bonus!)

An early bird or a night owl, the earliest shift is 06:45am/10:00am and the latest shift is 05:00pm/08:45pm; there is also an additional lunch shift 12:00pm/03:00pm.

Someone who is reliable and a good time keeper, you’ll have key holder responsibilities.

Someone who is kind and patient, encouraging and chatty!

Someone who can empathise with being a beginner or being intimidated by a fitness environment.
