Job Description

The School of Media and Communications at the London College of Fashion is looking for a Specialist Technician in Motion VFX, Animation and 3D to run Adobe After Effects and Procreate Dreams workshops. The successful candidate will have taught motion graphics, animation and/or 3D VFX, or used it extensively in their professional practice.

The Motion VFX, Animation and 3D Specialist Technician will cover several workshops throughout the 2024/2025 academic year in Adobe After Effects including introductory sessions, motion graphics, tracking and 2D VFX, and animating still images. We are also looking for someone who can use Procreate Dreams for animation and rotoscoping (or who is willing to learn).

The candidate will be given time to prepare for the sessions in advance. Please be advised, this position is to cover sessions and will not have a set number of hours per week.

Experience, knowledge and qualifications

  • A degree or qualification relevant to the role or previous relevant experience.
  • Experience in delivering technical workshops.
  • Extensive knowledge of Motion VFX, animation and 3D techniques.
  • Providing 1-2-1 support for Motion VFX, animation and 3D.
