We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing and Sourcing Coordinator to work in the supply chain of a leading global Promotional Merchandise, Branding Company based in London. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and think critically. This role requires high energy, professionalism, and the confidence to ask questions and problem-solve. Strong reading comprehension, effective communication skills, and an ability to streamline information are essential. If you’re highly organised with a positive, can-do attitude, this role is perfect for you.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Brainstorm innovative ideas, staying ahead of trends and industry developments.
  • Attend industry exhibitions and supplier meetings to stay informed about products and market offerings.
  • Negotiate terms (including prices and delivery times) with suppliers.
  • Assist with onboarding new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain and update company's supplier database.
  • Generate reports on industry trends and information gathered at trade shows.
  • Learn and apply company pricing strategies and mark-up policies.
  • Source products from industry suppliers and retail brands.
  • Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers.
  • Place and track sample orders to ensure timely delivery to clients
  • Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations showcasing suitable ideas and products.
  • Provide support to the team in solving product and branding challenges.
  • Organise and suggest products for self-promotion campaigns, including coordinating e-shots with marketing.
  • Ensure all vendors adhere to ethical and socially responsible standards.
  • Stay up to date with industry news across all regions where the company operates (EMEA).
  • Organise and schedule meetings with suppliers.

Personal Specification

  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organisational skills, and adaptability in changing environments.
  • Advanced reading comprehension and an ability to condense and present information efficiently.
  • Reliable, professional, and positive attitude with a proactive team player mindset.
  • Outgoing, friendly, and approachable personality.
  • Strong communication skills, including excellent phone etiquette and email writing.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel and PowerPoint essential).
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Knowledge of local trends and market movements.
  • Permanent right to work in the UK
