Job Description

UAL Arts Temps is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Interior Designer to join a dynamic team based in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in interior design while collaborating with an international headquarters. The ideal candidate will support the design team in crafting functional and visually compelling spaces, working closely with clients, vendors, and project managers.

Location: Holborn, Central London (Onsite, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Lead Interior Designer / Design Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing design concepts, mood boards, and presentations for various projects.
  • Support space planning, furniture selection, and material sourcing to align with project needs.
  • Create and update floor plans, 3D models, and renderings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
  • Research design trends, materials, and furnishings to enhance project aesthetics.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare essential project documentation, budgets, schedules, and client proposals.
  • Visit project sites to assist with measurements, installations, and quality control.
  • Maintain the design library and sample inventory.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to meet project deadlines and client expectations.

Personal Specification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0–2 years (internship or freelance experience is a plus).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Strong creativity and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of materials, color schemes, and furniture design.
