UAL Content Team: Creative Talent - Videographer

We’re building a network of trusted filmmakers who can work with University of the Arts London (UAL) to help capture, tell, and share the incredible work happening across our Colleges and Institutes.

We’re looking for filmmakers with strong camera handling and editing experience to join our database – everything from filming live events and talking heads to capturing student performances and narrative pieces. You might be a student, recent graduate, freelance creative, or an established practitioner – what matters most is that you produce great work, you’re reliable, and you’re open to working with different teams across the University.

Please note that this isn’t a live job application, if successful you will be added to a network of creatives and will be contacted regarding specific jobs.

The area of specialism we’re looking to cover are:

Events and coverage

• Live event filming including lectures, symposiums or launches.
• Multi-cam documentation for performances and panels.

Talking Heads and interviews

• One-person interview setups.
• Documentary-style character portraits or Q&A content.

Performance filmmaking

• Filming theatre, dance, movement or experimental performances.
• Capturing atmosphere, choreography and audience experience.

Exhibitions and installations

• Documentation of exhibitions - 2D, 3D and digital work in spaces.
• Artist or curator-led walkthroughs.
• Creative documentation of immersive works.

Promotional and storytelling

• Films to promote a course, initiative or student story.
• Narrative-driven or visually-led short films.

Educational

• Instructional videos, step-by-step content or demos.
• Lecture recordings or learning materials.
