Job Description

  • Be the first line of response for telephone and in-person enquirers seeking information about the College including access to the building, special lectures and shows.  
  • Forward enquiries regarding courses, application forms, prospectuses, open days, school visits, etc. to the relevant teams. 
  • Identify and communicate with individuals in the College or University who can respond to specific, detailed enquiries where such information is not available at reception. 
  • Welcome guests and issue visitor security passes including temporary security passes for students and staff as necessary. 
  • Ensure the Reception area is maintained in a tidy condition with adequate supplies. 

Personal Specification

  • Experience using Microsoft systems such as Outlook, Word and Excel 
  • Communicates effectively orally and in writing 
  • Plans, prioritises and organises work to achieve objectives on time. 
  • Works collaboratively in a team or with different professional groups, ensuring the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion are upheld.  
  • Provides a positive and responsive student or customer service. 
  • Uses initiative or creativity to resolve day-to-day problems.
