Event Assistant for Workshops at Critical Costume Conference

Job Description

UAL needs reliable Events Assistant/s to work on the international conference Critical Costume 2026 at the LCF East Bank Building. Join us in making this event a success by providing essential support and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

LCF staff will be available on the conference days as a point of contact.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting costume workshop setup and breakdown
• Providing on-site support to the external workshop leader during the workshop
• Handling workshop leader inquiries and ensuring a seamless experience
• Collaborating with team members
• Familiarising yourself with the programme, space and schedule of the workshop
• You must have experience of working sensitively with costume practitioners, performers and live audiences

Availability:

- Candidates must be available on the following

- 12.30-16.30 on 9 September

- 12.30-16.30 on 10 September

- 09.00-13.00 on 11 September

Personal Specification

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualities:

•             Strong organisational and multitasking skills
•             Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
•             Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
•             Previous event experience is a plus

• Friendly, eager to help, positive attitude

• Reliable, highly motivated

• Good team player

• Knowledge of the East Bank campus

• Previous event experience is a plus
