The Portal Centre for Social Impact is a hub for social engagement at London College of Fashion that collaborates with communities and creatives creating a safe space to explore their practice. The Centre has developed work in three distinct areas: Community Engagement, Student experience and social manufacturing and Production. The Instagram account has been formed using our Making for Change brand, one of our biggest and most recognised projects. This is where our community of interested followers can explore our projects and find out more about the work.
The Instagram account has been led by the Social Media Assistant, and, in collaboration with the Director of Social Responsibility, has developed a plan for the year ahead. To build on this plan, the role holder will also work with the team to identify assets and organise the work which needs to be to be highlighted each week.
The Portal Centre is based at Poplar Works in east London, and East Bank. The role holder may be required to work off-site and remotely dependent on the project needs and storytelling.
This role is tasked to increase our visibility amongst the student community and wider business networks and requires collating ‘reels’ and ‘stories’ in line with the social media plan, on a weekly basis, working closely with the Director of Social Responsibility and the wider team and networks.
