Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Assistant Manager to join a premium fashion retailer in Central London. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership and organisational skills, passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences in a high-end retail environment.

The Assistant Manager will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager and driving the store's success—ensuring sales targets are met, managing a high-performing team, and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive store performance by ensuring the sales team meets individual and collective sales targets

  • Hire, train, and develop new Sales Assistants

  • Assist in daily planning and strategy development to support the store's growth

  • Supervise and motivate the sales team to deliver outstanding customer service

  • Manage in-store deliveries and ensure stock is handled efficiently

  • Oversee customer interactions in-store, via email, and over the phone, ensuring all needs are met with professionalism

  • Serve as a key liaison between Head Office and the store team

  • Uphold and represent the brand ethos and set a positive example for the team

Personal Specification

  • Proven experience in retail management within a premium or luxury environment

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities

  • Experience in recruiting and onboarding new staff

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal

  • A proactive, customer-first attitude with a focus on quality service
