Job Description

The Content Assistant will support the Student Marketing and Recruitment team at Central Saint Martins in delivering content for key recruitment activity, with a focus on video production and visual asset sourcing. This is a part-time role, working 4 days per week (hybrid), with potential to extend beyond stated contract end date.

We are looking for a UAL graduate to support the planning and delivery of video content, including portfolio advice videos, Summer Shows content/interviews and imagery for marketing materials such as the Undergraduate guide.

The postholder will assist with video shoot preparation, capture supporting content where required and help ensure all assets are organised and ready for use across channels including email, web and social media. The role requires organisation, attention to detail and an interest in creating engaging content.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with video production, including shoot preparation, scheduling and on the day support

  • Capture b-roll and behind the scenes content to support wider campaign use where needed

  • Support the delivery of portfolio advice videos in collaboration with academic teams

  • Source and organise Summer Show content, including liaising with students

  • Support image sourcing and selection for the undergraduate guide and other marketing materials

  • Maintain well organised content libraries, ensuring files are clearly labelled and stored correctly

  • Assist with basic video editing where required

  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and is suitable for intended channels

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 5 May online via Microsoft Teams.

Personal Specification

Essential

  • Interest in content creation, particularly video and digital media

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Understanding of branding and content for different platforms (web, email, social)

  • Basic video editing skills (e.g. Premiere Pro, Capcut or similar)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines

  • Good communication skills and confidence liaising with others

  • Good understanding of social media and digital content

  • Ability to follow briefs and take direction

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SharePoint

  • Graduate from a UAL course

Desirable

  • Experience supporting video shoots, photoshoots or creating video content

  • Experience sourcing or working with user generated content

  • Experience working in a creative or higher education environment

  • Basic administrative experience, including raising purchase orders (POs)
