As a Sales Assistant you will need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy helping both customers and your colleagues. You will need to have previous experience and a proven track record of working in a retail environment, preferably within an arts institution (museum, gallery, or space that supports independent small businesses). You will need to be efficient, responsible, flexible, able to react to change in a positive manner, hard-working and confident working on your own and as part of a team.
The post is set for 6 months but there is the opportunity to continue beyond this. There will also be more hours available at Christmas when the shop will be open from Tuesday - Friday from Nov-Dec 2026. During this time there will be the following hours available:
Tuesday: 10.45 - 3.15
Wednesday: 10.45 - 3.15
Thursday: 10.45 -3.15 (Additional)
Friday: 10.45 - 3.15 (Additional)
