In November 2024, we held the 14th International Illustration Research Symposium Illustration & Heritage: Sharing Histories to Draw Out Futures at University of the Arts London. The symposium explored active processes of heritage-making through digital, institutional, and communal archives and collections, illustrative and co-illustrative methodologies, the making and giving of a ‘voice’, understanding and communicating artefacts, and looking at architecture as a historical material, among other practices.
During the symposium, on each Panel discussion, audio recordings were made. We plan to edit these 1.5 hour sessions into short 20 minute 'podcasts' that will focus on a part of the discussion, so that listeners can still engage with the event after it has taken place.
This role will work alongside the project researchers, who will provide a suggested transcript to follow during the editing process. We anticipate there will be 15 episodes (one for each Panel, Keynotes, Opening Statement).
The work will be undertaken in May 2025.
