Make Up Artist for Video Production

We are seeking a skilled Makeup Artist for a UAL Showcase storytelling video production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of makeup techniques tailored for film and editorial campaigns.

You will be responsible for applying makeup to the on-screen talent to ensure a polished, character-appropriate appearance that aligns with the project’s visual and narrative goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Report to our producer, videographer as well as the freelance stylist to interpret the makeup requirements for each scene or character.

· Apply makeup that suits lighting, camera work, and script needs (e.g., natural, character-based, environmental considerations).

· Ensure continuity of looks across scenes and shooting days.

· Prepare skin and makeup as well as touch-ups throughout shoots.

· Maintain a clean, organised makeup station and follow hygiene standards.

· Manage time effectively to work within production schedules and shooting timelines.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a makeup artist.

· Portfolio/showreel showcasing work relevant to productions.

· Knowledge of makeup application techniques for camera formats.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including early calls or late shoots depending on the production schedule.
