Job Description

The Community Engagement team is looking for an assistant to support the delivery of their projects.

Across the year, the team organises a variety of activities for community groups, such as:

  • training programmes for students and graduates to become creative facilitators

  • networking events between the colleges, community groups and local people

  • artistic and creative workshops for different community groups such as, but not limited to: children, young adults, elderly people, people with special educational needs and disabilities, families and many other groups

The role will provide dedicated administrative support around activities and support in the delivery of projects.

Purpose of role

  • To provide dedicated administrative support for Community Engagement projects (e.g. Community Exchanges, Community Engagement Programming at The Hub, Peckham)

  • To provide workshop support and assistance where necessary

  • To facilitate effective cross-team, participant and stakeholder communication

  • To support the wider Public Engagement Team (which the Community Engagement team sits in) with support for community-focused exhibition and residency strands

Key dates to be available:

1 day in late Jan (TBC, last week of Jan) - welcome lunch for new Community Exchanges Cohort

Feb 9th-15th – in daily to support Community Exchanges initial training

Following that – 2 days per week, Weds and one other day (open to shift depending on activity) (Feb-April, hoping to be extended to July)
