Job Description

We are seeking three contemporary dancers/performers to collaborate with first‑year BA (Hons) Costume for Performance students on a movement‑led design project. This is the students’ first experience working with performers, so we are looking for individuals who are patient, supportive, and open to a nurturing creative process.

Project Dates (attendance required for all sessions):

- Tuesday 17 February — 1:00–4:00pm

- Wednesday 11 March — 10:00am–1:00pm

- Friday 13 March — 10:00am–5:00pm

- Tuesday 28 April — 9:30am–5:30pm

- Monday 12 May — 10:00am–5:00pm

- Thursday 15 May — 10:00am–5:00pm

- Final Photoshoot: Thursday 28 May 9.30-5.30pm

About the Project:

Students will explore how movement, costume, and materiality interact. Performers will engage in guided improvisation, task‑based movement, and collaborative experimentation to support students in developing costume prototypes and final costumes for short movement sequences for assessment.

We warmly welcome applications from performers of all backgrounds, identities, body types, and lived experiences. We aim to create an inclusive and supportive working environment for everyone involved.
