We are looking for two people who are friendly, reliable and experienced to support the smooth running of the event on the day. This is a front-facing role, ideal for those interested in events, creative industries, or gaining professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the registration desk (checking in attendees, handing out badges/materials)

  • Monitoring the food and refreshments table, keeping the area tidy and flagging low stock

  • Assisting with facilitated activities (explaining instructions, timekeeping, resetting materials)

  • Being a friendly point of contact for attendees and escalating issues to the event lead when needed

  • Helping to capture the event and activities, including taking photos and short videos for internal and promotional use (using a phone or provided equipment)

  • Helping with set-up and pack-down before and after the event

  • Undertaking other reasonable duties as required to support the smooth running of the event

What You’ll Gain

  • Paid event experience

  • Exposure to creative and tech industry professionals

  • A chance to build confidence and transferable skills

Personal Specification

Essential

  • Previous experience in events or customer service

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude

  • Good verbal communication skills

  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to follow instructions

  • Confident interacting with students, staff, and external guests

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to be flexible and support a range of event duties as required

  • Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the venue during the event

  • Basic confidence using a smartphone to take photos or short videos

Desirable

  • Interest in creative industries, art, technology, or events

  • Ability to stay calm and helpful in a busy environment

Other Requirements

  • Availability to work the full event shift (including briefing and pack-down)

  • Professional appearance suitable for a front-facing role

We are an equal opportunities employer and positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
