Hair Stylist (1920s Period Styling) – Live Theatre Production

We are recruiting a skilled Hair Stylist to support a live musical theatre production taking place at a performance venue in West London. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating authentic 1920s hairstyles for four principal performers in a fast-paced backstage environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute period-appropriate 1920s hairstyles for lead cast members.

• Work efficiently within tight backstage timeframes on performance days.

• Maintain a calm, professional presence in a live theatre setting.

• Collaborate with production and costume teams to ensure visual consistency.

• Support quick touch-ups as required prior to performances.

Working Hours

• 17 June 2026: Approximately 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

• 18 June 2026: Approximately 9:30 am – 11:30 am

Essential

• Demonstrable experience creating vintage or period hairstyles, particularly 1920s looks.

• Previous experience in theatre, film, live performance, or similar production environments.

• Professional, reliable, and adaptable under live event conditions.

• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

• Experience working with — or willingness to support — young performers aged 10–16.

Desirable

• Portfolio showcasing period styling work.

• Understanding of backstage protocols and live performance schedules.
