Student Fashion/ Costume Designer Call-Out (multiple designers)

We’re inviting students working in fashion, textiles and costume design to showcase their work at this year’s Arts Awards. The number of selected designers will depend on applications.
What’s involved:
The day will look roughly like this
Please note timings of the ceremony are an estimate at this point:

16:15
Arrive on site at London College of Fashion and set up your design display on a mannequin ahead of the event start

17:00 – 18:00 (Reception)
Your work will be on display during the drinks reception. You’ll be nearby to talk to attendees about your design

18:00 – 19:00 (Ceremony – Part 1)
Free time / break

19:00 – 19:30 (Ceremony Break)
Return to your display to engage with attendees and discuss your work

19:30 – 20:30 (Ceremony – Part 2)
Free time / break

20:30 – 21:00 (Event close)
Be present near your work to network, answer questions, and engage with guests as the event wraps up

21:00 – 21:15
Take down your display and pack up
You will also need to:

Transport your designs to the venue

Set up and take down your display

Provide a written explanation to accompany your work
Submission requirements:

Photos of completed designs (no works in progress)

A short explanation of your designs
-
A 250-word statement outlining how your work connects to the event themes (e.g. celebration, community)
Selected designs may also be featured in post-event Arts Awards communications.
This is a chance to present your work in a professional setting and connect with a wide creative community.
