Job Description

Role Overview

MA Curating and Collections (MACC) at Chelsea College of Arts is seeking a Graphic Designer to oversee and deliver the complete visual identity for our Degree Show, opening 6 July 2026 at the Cookhouse Gallery.

You will develop and implement the full visual identity, including:

  • The exhibition title/logo

  • Gallery graphics (introductory panels, crediting panels, captions, extended captions)

  • Printed materials (booklet/leaflet, floor plan, external panel)

  • The exhibition publication

You will prepare all materials for print, advise on production (paper stock, vinyl, materials), and work with the team to refine and realise existing visual identity concepts.

You will collaborate closely with the Show Producers and Visual Identity Team, with final sign-off from the MACC Tutor Team.

This role requires precision, creativity, and the ability to work to a tight production schedule.

Personal Specification

Visual Identity Development

Develop and finalise the exhibition’s visual identity, building on existing concepts and ensuring consistency across all materials

Exhibition Title & Logo

Design the exhibition title treatment to function as a distinctive, versatile logo used across all print and online applications

Gallery Graphics

Produce cohesive designs for:
Introductory wall panels
Crediting panels
Captions and extended captions
External panel for the Cookhouse Gallery façade

Printed Materials

Design and prepare for print:
Booklet or leaflet
Exhibition floor plan
Full exhibition publication (catalogue), all gallery panels

Print Production Oversight

Prepare all files for print, advise on materials (paper stock, vinyl, substrates), and oversee production through to completion

Collaboration & Sign-off

Work closely with the Show Producers and Visual Identity Team; final approval will be given by the MACC Tutor Team

Job Requirements

Adobe Creative Cloud Expertise High proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and related tools
Print Production Knowledge Experience preparing files for professional printing and managing production workflows
Exhibition & Publication Design Experience Previous experience designing catalogues, exhibition graphics, or similar multi-component visual identity projects
Communication & Collaboration Ability to communicate clearly and regularly with the Show Producers and Visual Identity Team
Time Management & Reliability Ability to work quickly, maintain quality, and meet all deadlines

Catalogue Trial Printing 14 June 2026
