First Year Content Creator

Job Description

UAL's social media team is looking for six content creators to film, feature in and edit short videos for social media which will sit across our channels.

You will:

Share examples of social media videos and a link to any public social media channels
Join a briefing call with the social media team
Film content at graduation in-person at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank during the week of 13 July 2026 (with a member of the social media team to support, if needed)
As part of the content, you will need to approach graduates and ask them to speak on camera to brief - ideally you will have your own lapel / bluetooth mic.
Round one edit plus time for feedback
Round two edit plus potential final feedback
Final sign off of video, confirming publish date

Personal Specification

We are looking for someone who:

Is confident speaking on camera and with other people
Has experience self-shooting and editing for social media
Can share examples of video content they have filmed, edited and featured in
Is able to work to a brief, take and implement feedback
Is aware of social media trends and formats - specifically on Instagram and TikTok
Has their own phone to film, and preferably a lapel or bluetooth mic
