Events Assistant Audio Visual

Job Description

UAL needs reliable Events Assistant/s to work on the international conference Critical Costume 2026 at the LCF East Bank building. Join us in making this event a success by providing essential support and ensuring everything runs smoothly. We are seeking assistance with the smooth running of audio-visual presentations, as well as microphone running during Q&A sessions. The conference will take place across several floors so applicants must have knowledge of the building AV systems. LCF staff will be available on the conference days as a point of contact.

Responsibilities include:

• Setting up audio visual equipment in conference rooms and making sure it is working smoothly

• Providing audio visual support during all presentations as needed ensuring a seamless experience for presenters
• Microphone running during all Q&A sessions
• Collaborating with team members
• Familiarising yourself with the programme, space and schedule of the event

Availability:

- Candidates must be available on all 4 dates

- 3 hour in-person session to walk through the conference arrangements on 8 September 14.00-17.00
- 08.30-17.30 on 9 September
- 08.30-17.30 on 10 September
- 08.30-17.00 on 11 September

Personal Specification

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualities:

•             Strong organisational and multitasking skills
•             Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
•             Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
•             Previous event experience is a plus

• Friendly, eager to help, positive attitude

• Reliable, highly motivated

• Good team player

• Knowledge of the East Bank campus

• Previous event experience is a plus
