LCC Welcome Ambassador

UAL is looking for 11 Student Welcome Ambassadors to help out with the LCC Welcome Programme for new students.

This will involve the following:

• Assisting with the running of the official LCC Welcome Weeks (14-18 September for PG & 21-25 September for UG)

• Assisting with a programme of Welcome Activities

• Helping out with lecture theatre based Welcome Talks

• Signing students into sessions and promoting activities/workshops

• Running a welcome breakfast

• Managing a pop up Games Arcade (in lower street)

• Signposting and general troubleshooting

• Tours of the college facilities

• Being friendly and knowledgeable to new groups of diverse students

• (You may also be asked to help out in the LCC Information Centre)

Online ambassador training will take place on Friday 11th September. This is compulsory but will be paid.

The hours for this role are variable. 10 ambassadors are recruited on the assumption that some students will have other commitments.

Once candidates have been selected a schedule will be provided where you can choose your working days and hours. This can vary though it will be dependent on staffing requirements.

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualities:

• Strong knowledge of LCC and its courses/ programme areas

• Familiarity with the building and technical areas

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• A Friendly and approachable manner
