Job Description

UAL are currently recruiting student ambassadors to support key events and projects at London College of Communication (LCC).

As an ambassador, you will be the face of LCC, helping to promote the college to prospective students and their supporters.

Types of Work Available

Campus Tours

Lead tours of LCC and provide a warm, welcoming, and informative experience for prospective students and their families.

Open Days (In Person and Online)

Support recruitment events by:

  • Welcoming visitors

  • Answering questions about your student experience

  • Staffing course information stands

  • Assisting with event coordination and guest guidance

Offer Holder Events

Share your experiences of studying at LCC and provide insights into student life, helping offer holders make informed decisions about joining the college.

Talks and Workshops

Deliver presentations or workshops that give prospective students valuable information about higher education and life at LCC.

Online Events

Support virtual events by answering questions and sharing your experience as a current LCC student.

Administrative Support

Assist the Student Marketing and Recruitment teams with tasks such as responding to enquiries and supporting ongoing projects.

Creating Content

Help create student-focused marketing content, including:

  • Videos

  • Emails

  • Social media content

  • Other digital communications

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process consists of two stages.

Stage 1: Application and Video Submission

Apply through ArtsTemps. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a short video recording answering three simple questions.

Stage 2: Selection and Assessment Day

Applicants who successfully complete Stage 1 will be invited to attend a mandatory Selection and Assessment Day on Friday 25 September.

Please note: Applicants who are unable to attend the assessment day will not be considered for the Student Ambassador role.

Important Information About the Role

The LCC Student Ambassador programme operates on an ad hoc basis. This is not a part-time role with guaranteed weekly hours. Instead, Student Ambassadors are offered opportunities to support events, projects, and activities as they arise throughout the academic year.

The first work opportunity for successful applicants will be supporting our Undergraduate Open Day on Saturday 10 October.

Personal Specification

Personal Attributes and Skills

  • Must be studying a BA (Hons) or MA degree at LCC.

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Ability to engage with diverse audiences, including young people, parents, and external speakers.

  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Organised, punctual, and able to take initiative.

  • Open to feedback and eager to improve.

  • Familiar with LCC’s facilities, student services, and admissions process.

Additional Skills (Desirable but not required)

  • Experience working with young people or in public speaking.

  • Experience creating marketing content (images, videos, emails, etc.).

  • Awareness of barriers to higher education and the application process.
