Job Description

Event: The Regenerative Exchange, a UAL Sustainability Alumni Network Event

The Content Creator will produce dynamic, engaging short‑form content that showcases the event’s themes, creative activity and community. This role focuses on social‑ready video, micro‑interviews, behind‑the‑scenes capture and storytelling aligned with UAL’s digital voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Short‑Form Content Creation — Capture and produce Reels/TikTok‑style clips throughout the event.
  • Live Social Capture — Record Instagram Story moments, including attendee reactions, workshop snippets and atmosphere.
  • Micro‑Interviews — Gather short quotes or vox pops from participants and speakers.
  • Creative Documentation — Highlight regenerative design themes, collaborative processes and creative exchange.
  • Editing & Quick Turnaround — Deliver polished clips suitable for UAL’s social channels within agreed timelines.
  • Brand & Tone Alignment — Ensure all content reflects UAL’s digital identity and values.

Personal Specification

Skills & Experience Required

  • Content Creation Skills — Experience producing short-form video for Instagram/TikTok.

  • Strong mobile-first filming and editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Rush, InShot or similar).

  • Confident engaging with attendees to gather quotes or reactions.

  • Strong visual storytelling instincts.

  • Interest in sustainability, regenerative design or community arts (desirable).

Deliverables

  • 5–10 short-form video clips (5-15 seconds) suitable for UAL social channels.

  • A selection of Instagram Story assets captured during the event.

  • Caption-ready assets and accompanying shot list

  • Delivery within 24 hours

Event details:

  • Wednesday 30 September, 6pm- 9pm

  • 8 estimated working hours

  • Total number of paid hours – 3 hours for event and estimated 5 hours post-event editing.

Equipment needed:

  • Must be able to film high-quality vertical video on a smartphone or camera.

  • Access to editing software

  • UAL cannot provide equipment.

IP:

All content captured during the event will be the property of UAL and must be transferred in agreed formats following the event. The Content Creator must follow UAL guidance on photography, filming permissions and consent.
