UAL are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a passion for, or an interest in, exhibitions and audiovisual practices.
Whether you already have relevant experience or are keen to develop your skills, you will join our AV Exhibition and Live Events team. Working across three shows, you will support the preparation, installation, troubleshooting and takedown of each exhibition, helping to ensure the smooth running of the audio-visual elements throughout.
Working in a busy and fast-paced environment, you will play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of exhibitions. Teamwork, communication and a willingness to learn are essential to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with AV equipment stock checks, preparation and testing ahead of exhibitions.
- Install and set up audio-visual equipment, including TVs, projectors, speakers and other sound and display equipment within gallery spaces.
- Support the setup and operation of AV media, including using Raspberry Pi players.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues to ensure the smooth running of audio-visual installations.
- Assist with the takedown, packing and return of AV equipment following each exhibition.
Previous experience with AV installation or exhibition technology would be beneficial, but is not essential.
A basic knowledge of hand tools and their safe use would also be useful.
A willingness to learn, a practical approach and an enthusiasm for working as part of a team are equally valued. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in exhibition AV and technical production within a creative and collaborative environment.
On-Site Attendance
You will be required to work on-site on all days specified in your contract. Consistent on-site attendance is essential to the successful preparation, installation, operation and takedown of the exhibitions.
