Job Title: AV Technician Project: On the Grid Exhibition

Location: Wolfson Gallery, East Bank (Stratford)

Overview The School of Media and Communication at LCF is looking for an experienced AV Technician to support the On the Grid exhibition at the Wolfson Gallery, East Bank. The role will involve the set-up, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment to ensure the smooth delivery of moving image and sound-based work within a gallery environment.

This is a practical, hands-on role working closely with the exhibition team to support student and project-led installations.

Key Responsibilities • Set up, test, and operate video and audio equipment for exhibition use • Work with media players and manage content playback across screens • Troubleshoot HDMI connections and resolve technical issues promptly • Support the installation and monitoring of video monitors and displays • Ensure all AV equipment is installed and operated safely • Follow health and safety procedures appropriate to exhibitions and events spaces • Provide on-site technical support during exhibition hours

Required Experience and Skills • Practical experience working with media players and AV systems • Strong working knowledge of video and audio standards • Experience working with video monitors, screens, and display equipment • Ability to troubleshoot HDMI and related connectivity issues • Understanding of health and safety in an exhibitions or events environment • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently on-site
