Student Content Creator Day in the Life

Responsibilities

• Create a short-form “Day in the Life” video showcasing what studying and living at UAL is really like.

• Capture an authentic view of your daily routine, from morning preparations and travelling to campus through to creative projects, social activities and life in halls.

• Produce 1 x Day in the Life video:

  • 60–90 seconds in length

  • 9:16 portrait format

  • MP4 file format

  • Authentic and informal in tone

  • Edited using external software (e.g. CapCut)

  • No TikTok or Instagram edits

  • No visible editing software watermarks or logos

• Submit:

  • First draft by 9 July 2026

  • Final video by 10 July 2026

• Include content such as:

  • Getting ready for college

  • Study essentials

  • Journey to campus

  • Creative projects and behind-the-scenes moments

  • Study breaks, cafés and favourite food spots

  • Time spent in halls and with friends

  • Events, gym sessions and social activities

  • Evening routines and wind-down moments

• Ensure all individuals featured have provided appropriate consent where required.

• Protect student privacy by avoiding personal or sensitive information in footage.

• Capture a diverse range of students and experiences that reflect the UAL community.

• Follow style guidance by:

  • Keeping content positive, authentic and welcoming

  • Avoiding inappropriate language

  • Filming as steadily as possible

  • Incorporating personality through editing, voiceover or direct-to-camera content

  • Using creative cover text and graphics where appropriate

  • Avoiding editing within TikTok or Instagram platforms
